Welcome to Euxton Medical Centre

The Doctors and staff at Euxton Medical Centre in Chorley are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.  We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

In addition to everything you need to know about the Practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. Please have a look around and feel free to offer suggestions and feedback.

Coronavirus important information about the appointment system.

Due to the ongoing situation with Coronavirus, we are taking measures in line with guidance shared by NHS England and Public Health authorities to minimise risks associated with the virus.

In order to protect our patients and staff and we are asking our patients support with this.

What does this mean for you?

From Monday 16th March 2020 we want to minimise the number of patients attending the Practice for face to face appointments. This means that all patients are required to contact the practice by telephone to request an appointment, or make a general enquiry, as we are keeping our doors locked for the safety of patients and staff, providing details of their need. You will be able to book a telephone consultation. It is envisaged that most problems will be able to be managed with these ‘remote’ consultations. If the clinician deems that you require a face to face appointment, you will be asked some screening questions regarding risk of coronavirus and if there is no risk you will be given a face to face appointment.

Existing appointments:
All pre-existing appointments are being reviewed by the team. If it is deemed that your appointment is not urgent this may be cancelled and re-scheduled at a later date by the Practice. If the appointment needs to go ahead, wherever possible this will take place over the telephone. If your appointment is being cancelled or changed to telephone, our administrative team will contact you to advise you of this. If the appointment needs to be face to face you will be contacted prior the appointment and asked some screening questions to ensure it is appropriate for you to attend the Practice.

The prescription box is near the main front door, before you come into the surgery. However, we are requesting all patients either email their request for repeat prescriptions or order via patient access or myGP – again this is to avoid the spread of the virus.
We are also requesting that patients nominate a pharmacy for their prescription to be sent electronically which they can then collect direct from the pharmacy.

You can order a prescription by emailing

Remember to use the hand sanitiser provided when entering the building or wash your hands in the patient toilets.

This is a very challenging time for us all and we would appreciate your co-operation during this period of uncertainty.

Our priority is the health and safety of all our patients and staff.

On behalf of the partners and all the staff ‘Thank you’ for your support.

7 Day Access

The Chorley Central Collaborative Group

We have been working hard to increase the numbers of appointments available for you. This has involved developing a partnership with other local practices, which we are pleased to tell you has now resulted in the formulation of the group named above.

Chorley Central Collaborative Group consists of the following practices Regent House Surgery, The Chorley Surgery, Library House Surgery, Granville House Medical Centre, Euxton Medical Centre and Coppull Medical Practice. The new service available will provide access to GP, nurse and health care assistant appointments in the evening and at weekends.

The service is available to all patients within this group on a proportionate basis however it is important to be aware that the appointment may not necessarily be at this practice. These are all additional appointments so it is not the case that patients of other practices will now utilise all our appointments.

Disabled Access

Reserved car parking space, wheelchair access to the building through wide doors. All consulting rooms and disabled WC are on the ground floor.
